Sunday night marked a significant achievement for Demi Moore, who received a nomination for her role in The Substance and ultimately took home her first Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical. She was up against notable contenders like Mikey Madison from Anora, Cynthia Erivo from Wicked, Karla Sofía Gascón from Emilia Pérez, Amy Adams from Nightbitch, and Zendaya from Challengers.

During her acceptance speech, Moore shared a touching message about the challenges of aging in Hollywood, but it wasn’t just her words that caught the attention of viewers.

A video capturing Moore’s interactions with fellow attendees began circulating online. In the clip, the Ghost star approaches Elle Fanning and chats with her and Monica Barbaro. Meanwhile, her body inadvertently blocks Kylie Jenner, who is seated behind her and clearly eager to connect with Moore.

Despite Jenner’s attempts to gain her attention, Demi does not turn around. After sharing a hug and a few words with Elle, she moves on, seemingly overlooking Kylie. Interestingly, she does take a moment to engage with Jenner’s date, Timothée Chalamet.

Moore’s oversight of Jenner stirred up quite a reaction online. One user commented on the video, saying, “I could never feel sorry for a Kardashian/Jenner.” Another added, “Money can buy many things, but respect isn’t one of them.”

In response to the backlash, Demi Moore’s daughter, Tallulah Willis, stepped in to defend her mother from the media frenzy surrounding the incident. She clarified that her mother did not intentionally snub Jenner.

The 30-year-old took to Instagram to address the situation, stating, “NIPPING THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD – we spent New Year’s with Elle, so connecting with her after a win felt very natural.”

She provided additional context, explaining, “This angel was in complete shock and joy, moving through a warm room filled with well-wishers. There was no snub at all; had she noticed KJ wanting to congratulate her, she would have definitely given her the time and attention.”

“Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!”

Tallulah enjoyed the ceremony alongside her older sisters, Rumer and Scout Willis. Their mother, Demi Moore, shares the three daughters with her ex-husband Bruce Willis, whom she was married to from 1987 until 2000.
