In a world that is crowded and fast-pacing, visually impaired people experience hardship with mobility. Luckily, thanks to the technological advancement, these people’s lives are significantly enhanced.
Now, except for a cane or a service dog that helps them navigate around, visually impaired people can use newest high-tech option provided to them by Austrian based company named Tech-Innovation.
This company has created shoes with a built-in sensor that alerts visually impaired people, via vibration or sound, when an obstacle is detected.
The product, named InnoMake, have the sensors react when an obstacle is detected at the maximum distance of four meters and minimum distance of half a meter. The sensor fits into a special slot within the shoes and comes with a rechargeable battery which lasts up to a week before it need to be recharged. It only takes three hours for the battery to get fully charged.
The shoes and the sensor come with an app which is free of charge. The users can adjust plenty of settings through it, such as how far away from objects they need to be before they get alerted.
If you wonder what happens when the weather is rainy or snowing, the creators thought of it and made the sensor water-resistant. If users opt to use the intelligent mode, the sensor would get deactivated whenever they are seated and would again activate when it senses movement.
There are several shops around Austria which let users try the shoes on before they buy them.
This innovation truly is a life-changing one.
In a world that often overlooks the specific needs of visually impaired individuals, advancements like the InnoMake shoes from the Austrian-based company Tech-Innovation are making a transformative impact. These high-tech shoes have been designed with cutting-edge sensors to assist those who struggle with mobility due to visual impairment, offering them greater independence and safety.
The InnoMake shoes feature built-in sensors that detect obstacles within a range of half a meter to four meters, alerting the user via vibrations or sound cues. This innovative technology enables visually impaired individuals to navigate their surroundings more easily and confidently, helping to prevent accidents or collisions with unseen objects.
What sets these shoes apart from traditional mobility aids, such as canes or guide dogs, is their ability to provide real-time feedback about the user’s environment. The sensors are seamlessly integrated into a slot within the shoes and powered by a rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week on a single charge. A full recharge takes only three hours, making the product convenient and easy to maintain.
Additionally, InnoMake comes with a smartphone app that allows users to customize their settings, adjusting the distance at which they want to be alerted to obstacles. The app is free of charge and offers further personalization, ensuring the device suits individual needs.
Importantly, the product is designed to be water-resistant, ensuring that the sensors function reliably in rainy or snowy conditions. The intelligent mode further enhances its utility, deactivating the sensors when the user is seated and automatically reactivating when movement is detected.
With several stores in Austria allowing potential users to try the shoes before purchasing, InnoMake represents a significant leap forward in assistive technology for the visually impaired. It empowers them to move through life with greater freedom, confidence, and safety—showing that innovation can truly be life-changing.
Feel free to share this amazing innovation with your friends and family on social media! It’s exciting to see how technology can open up new possibilities for everyone.
