Quest Gulliford’s Unique Tattoo Evolution
Las Vegas, Nevada – Since embarking on his journey in 2009, Quest Gulliford has invested over $70,000 in tattoos and body modifications, creating a unique transformation that has captured attention worldwide. With an extensive collection of ink covering him from head to toe, he has shared his remarkable before-and-after photos, offering a glimpse into his artistic evolution.
A Story of Resilience and Self-Expression
Gulliford’s journey into tattoos began with a deeply personal inspiration. A survivor of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, he was diagnosed in seventh grade and underwent six months of chemotherapy. To mark his survival, he got his first tattoo—one symbolizing his ordeal.
Among his earliest ink were the words “God First” and a purple cancer ribbon, representing his battle and triumph over the disease. What started as a single piece soon grew into an elaborate body art collection that continues to evolve.
The Drive Behind His Ink Journey
Reflecting on his past, Gulliford stated in an interview, “I had a big lymph node growing… It was six months of chemotherapy. I kind of felt like a superhuman after that.” Over the years, his passion for tattoos turned into a full-scale transformation, attracting over 1 million followers on TikTok, where he shares his journey and interacts with fans.
The Eye Tattoo Experience
Three years ago, Gulliford—known as @guestg.tv on TikTok—shocked his followers when he documented his experience getting eye tattoos. Unlike traditional skin tattoos, the procedure involves injecting ink directly into the sclera (whites of the eyes) to permanently tint them.
His procedure took place in Houston, Texas, where he received a black ink injection into his eyelids. Describing the sensation, he said, “It’s more of an injection or modification… not really like a tattoo on your skin.” Gulliford admitted that it took significant mental preparation before undergoing the procedure.
A Decade of Transformation: Before & After Photos
Recently, Gulliford posted a series of images showcasing his tattoo evolution from 2009 to 2019. His visual storytelling captures his dramatic transformation:
- Early Years (2009): Few tattoos, primarily on his chest.
- Gradual Progress: Over time, tattoos extended across his arms, neck, and torso.
- Full-Body Ink (2019): Nearly every inch of his skin covered in intricate designs.
Sharing his experience, Gulliford stated, “I had cancer when I was twelve, but I have no idea whether that has anything to do with my love of tattoos. I got bullied a lot in high school, especially when my hair was falling out due to treatment.”
A Social Media Sensation
With his growing influence online, Gulliford has embraced his journey, using his platform to educate and inspire others who seek self-expression through body art. His TikTok page serves as a hub for tattoo enthusiasts, where he answers questions about pain levels, healing processes, and the meaning behind his designs.
Why Tattoos?
For Gulliford, tattoos are more than just body art; they’re a means of self-empowerment and storytelling. He emphasizes that each piece represents a chapter of his life, including his struggles, triumphs, and personal beliefs.
